There are many benefits to using this type of fertilizer on your lawn or garden. It is important to know how much you should use and when the best time to apply it would be in order for it to work properly. In this blog post, we will go over all the information you need about triple 5 npk fertilizers!

What is 5-5-5 Fertilizer Good for?

The main benefits of using a fertilizer that contains all three types of nutrients are increased production, improved quality, and healthy plants. This type of fertilizer is suitable for use on most lawns or gardens because you will be able to see the effects almost instantly after applying it. If your garden has poor soil then this would also be a great option as it can provide much-needed nourishment to the plant roots while improving soil structure at the same time!

When to use it?

The best time to use a fertilizer like this is in the early spring season and before any growth starts. If your lawn or garden has poor soil then you should apply it during the late winter because that will allow more time for the fertilizers to be absorbed by the plant’s roots. When applying, make sure that you don’t forget to water thoroughly so the nutrients can fully dissolve into the ground!

If you want even better results when using a fertilizer with all three types of minerals, do not let too much grass grow between applications as this will give them less space to absorb these important nutrients!

How to use 5-5-5 fertilizer

One pound of fertilizer per 100 square feet (or, one 16oz packet) should be plenty for most gardens. More may need if you are planting in a new spot or have very poor soil. Less is needed if the plants only require occasional feeding or there’s too much nitrogen present from other fertilizers/manures. If soils are moist when adding fertilizer, less will stick than with dry soil.

Apply in late winter to early spring before new growth starts. If using for flower/veggie gardens, apply after heavy rains and preferably when the soil is moist but not saturated. (This can be tricky if you have clay or sandy soils.)
